Day 2 - A very 'Wicked' Day

Memory Two

Today started with a misty and miserable weather front creeping in all around the house, however for such a dreary start outside inside it began with a bang! Friday mornings are often a frenzy of activity in our house as homework is finished, and packed and last minute Toddler Time activities are collated and finished. In the midst of all this Stephanie's sling was being adjusted, and re sized with cable ties to make it more comfortable for her neck. While I was doing this Kristina slyly snuck one of the cable ties into her pocket, the next thing i hear is a scream from the other room "Mummmmmmmy I'm Stuck!" The first thing that went through my head was that she had somehow jammed her self into a door way or something similar, but no it was much more ridiculous. Kristina had decided to use the cable tie as a bracelet and zipped it up nice and tight around her wrist. She now had a 'bracelet' that very closely resembled a tourniquet! Quickly we found the slimmest pair of scissors in the house, and as gently as i could slipped them under the tie and cut off her 'bracelet'. She was left with an interesting indentation mark on her wrist to remind her of the day not to make such dumb decisions. After school she said to me "I know i won't ever do that again mum, my hand hurt all day".
Isabelle also had an interesting day firstly in the morning she was given her prerequisite baby wiper which she needs after breakfast to clean all the 'mess' This morning however she put it into her mouth like a little bone, and then whinged her way down onto the floor. She then preceded to crawl up and down the hall way 'barking', she would only look at the girls if they called her puppy, too. Her morning at Toddler Time was not so fun though falling off two chairs, a bike and the slippery dip play center. She now has a beautiful graze and bruise on her forehead to remind her of today :) I think maybe she needs to wear a full time stack hat.
Tonight we also began the transformation of Stephanie's room. Two walls are now painted green, which is Dulux colour "ELF'. Amazingly it looks a lot better than I anticipated so far anyway. Tomorrow we will continue the Transformation of her 'Wicked' room, with more paint and wicked witchy accessories.
Allison had her first new friend come over from Tahmoor school today, Hannah. The play date was only short but they seemed to have fun and she was a lovely girl. Hopefully it might be the change in friendships she needs to become more settled in her social life.
So after a long day of playgroup, cupcake baking, cleaning and wall painting i am going to fall exhausted into my bed and pray Isabelle manages to sleep through the night.
